HI, I'M JESSI.
Reader, reviewer, horror obsessive, and the person behind Uncanny Collective.
I've always been drawn to stories that are a little strange, uncomfortable, or difficult to shake. Horror is obviously a huge part of that, but I also love weird fiction, unsettling literary fiction, gothic stories, and books that make me sit there for a minute after I finish them wondering what I just read.
Uncanny Collective started as a way for me to share the books I was reading and connect with other people who loved horror as much as I did. Since then, it's grown into something much bigger than a place to post reviews. I wanted to create a space where readers could discover new books, indie authors could get more eyes on their work, and people who love strange stories could find each other.
When I'm not reading or working on the Collective, I'm usually crocheting, playing video games, working on one of the many projects I've convinced myself I absolutely needed to start, or adding another book to my TBR despite already having enough to last several lifetimes.
Uncanny Collective is very much a reflection of the things I love, and everything you see here is curated by a real person who is probably just as excited about a weird little horror book as you are.
